It was going to be an actual series, but a 1 was rolled. So now you have this lovely comic from IDW/Oni instead!

Rick & Morty are having another crossover and it’s with– Dungeons & Dragons? Yes, the two properties will be engaging in a comic book crossover mini-series starting in August form both Oni Press/IDW (this was announced at C2E2 this past weekend, but since I was actually there, and since sdshichero was sleeping on the job IGN got the dibs of the exclusive). 

The series will be written by Fantasy Novelist Patrick Rothfuss and D&D junkie Jim Zub (who also wrote a few comic stuff. You know the Samurai Jack comic, and a few Marvel stuff recently). Troy Little (Hunter Thompson’s Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas)will be supplying the art for the mini.

For the actual plot, it’ll deal with Morty going to Rick for some assistance in the popular role-playing game hits his school. You know how Rick handles things. Things will only end badly. Here’s the cover for #1:
